It is said that around half a million people visit Machu Picchu every year; the Inca ruins is on the bucket list of most world travellers and should be on yours, it is a marvel of a site and google imaged alone can’t do it justice. Peru is full of wonderful culture and the natural beauty well worth atleast one visit during your lifetime. When you travel to Peru, you will eventually arrive into the Inca city of Cusco. The city is full of wonderful and interesting historical sites to enjoy. But the mystery deosn’t end with the historical sight.

Many people only travel by air and to be fair, this is by far the quickest way to get around. There are a lot of people who love to travel by train and take all of the great train journeys around the world, and there are an abundance of trains ervices to experience in Peru, but that is for another article. Here, we are going to speak of the trip that many fear but many take; the Lima to Cusco bus.

Around five hours from Lima, you will come across the small town of Nazca. Not very much happens there, it has a few hotels and several restaurants but nothing much to speak of. The town receives no rainfall at all, so the weather is warm and dry all year round. So what is the attraction of this little desert town? Well, the purpose of visiting this town is to see the extraordinary Nazca Lines.

Peru has many different climate conditions over the country and this makes it difficult to decide what to pack. If you are going to the coastal regions in the summer, then it will be warm. If you are going to the highlands in the wet season, then you will need your wet weather clothing. The jungle is mostly warm but you will need light long clothing to protect yourself from the insects. So where you are going and what time of year that you re going are very important factors to take into consideration when choosing what to pack for your trip to Peru.

Cusco is considered one of the most beautiful and historic cities in all of South America. Thousands of people flock to the Andean town every year and hundreds if not thousands have made Cusco their new home. Cusco was the heart of the Inca Empire and as you will see on your visit, the city is full of ancient Inca ruins and plazas.

Travelling alone anywhere in the World can be an extremely daunting experience for anyone. Sometimes, when you aren’t familiar with your destination of travel but have the desire to visit that country, the desire often outweighs the fear. Peru and especially Machu Picchu are popular destinations and are visited by thousands of foreign tourists every year.

Lima is known as the gastronomic capital of South America, which grew from a culinary legacy that was inherited from superb pre-Hispanic and colonial cooking traditions and evolved today into a mix of Western and Oriental cooking.

On any trip to Peru, you must travel to Machu Picchu; the Inca Citadel, which is located close to the Imperial city of Cusco. There are various ways to travel to Machu Picchu, for example, the famous Machu Picchu hike which is a very popular way to reach the site, involves a four day  strenuous hike. However, if exercise is not to your liking, never fear, as there is the option of taking the train on an all-inclusive tour to Machu Picchu.

Just south of Lima you will travel along Peru’s Desert coast, a stretch of coastline bear and barren but beautiful at the same time, featuring many wonderful ancient attractions and some nice beach resorts. The area also features the naturally spectacular Paracas National Reserve, heaven for wildlife like no other.
